Regulatory Information

All barristers at Parity Chambers are regulated by the Bar Standards Board (BSB). The BSB is the independent regulator of barristers and specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales.

You can verify the registration and authorisation of any barrister through the Bar Standards Board’s online register at www.barstandardsboard.org.uk.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

All members of Parity Chambers maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by the Bar Standards Board. Details of our insurance arrangements are available upon request.

Status of Barristers

Barristers at Parity Chambers are self-employed individuals who share premises and administrative services. Each barrister is responsible for their own practice and professional conduct.

When you instruct a barrister from Parity Chambers, you enter into a contract with that individual barrister. The chambers entity does not provide legal services directly.

Complaints

We are committed to providing an excellent service to all our clients. If you have any concerns about the service you have received, we encourage you to raise them with us in the first instance.
