Fixed term tenants

At Parity Chambers, we understand that the first few years of practice are crucial to developing confidence, judgment, and professional relationships.

Our Fixed Term Tenancy (FTT) programme offers recently qualified barristers the chance to establish their practice within a specialist set.

Designed for those who have completed pupillage — whether in our own chambers or elsewhere — our Fixed Term Tenancy provides real work, meaningful support, and a pathway to full tenancy.

Fixed Term Tenants are treated as full members of Chambers and have access to the same professional and administrative support as permanent tenants.

During the fixed term, you will:

  • Receive instructions across the full spectrum of employment law, including discrimination, unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, and contractual disputes
  • Appear regularly in tribunals and assist in more complex cases
  • Receive structured mentoring from senior members of Chambers
  • Benefit from proactive clerking focused on developing your individual practice
  • Participate in Chambers’ training sessions, seminars, and social life.

Our aim is to help talented juniors gain exposure, experience, and the professional grounding to succeed at the Employment Bar and in due course become full tenants at Parity Chambers.

We invite applications from barristers who:

  • Have successfully completed pupillage (whether in Employment Law or a related area)
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and advocacy skills
  • Show genuine enthusiasm for employment law and client service
  • Are committed to developing their practice in a collaborative, modern environment.

Applications should include:

  • A short covering letter outlining your background and motivation
  • Your CV
  • The names of two referees (who may be contacted with your consent).

Please send your application in confidence to the Senior Clerk, Callum Stebbing, by email at:
clerks@paritychambers.com

Informal, confidential discussions prior to application are welcome.
